A Letter From Our CEO
Your Donations Make a Difference!
North-Oakland Residential Services, Inc. greatly appreciates your generous donation(s) to our organization. While we have experienced much needed increases in wages over the past few years, other operational costs remain flat. Donation dollars are used to enhance individuals' lives by providing additional recreational opportunities both in-home and in the community. They assist in providing funding for trips to visit family, attending sporting events, concerts, vacations and other exciting activities. Those monies also help to allow NORS to continue to hold our annual summer picnic, holiday parties and other celebrations for all of our homes.
Donations of physical goods such as food, cleaning supplies and furnishings have a positive impact on the homes in that those items donated create savings that can be reinvested into the home.
Donations can be made exclusively to one home or in general. All donations are tax deductible and a receipt is provided for tax purposes.

Cash Donation
We welcome a cash donation to the company or specifically to one of our programs. The donation will help cover expenses not fully funded in our budgets such as replacement of furnishings, home repairs, and community outings. We also accept checks or online donations.
Here are some other ways you can help.
Home Donation
NORS encourages physical goods donations such as food, cleaning products, furnishings, and furniture. Assistance in this area allows funds to be channeled to other necessary purchases. Gift cards are the best way to contribute to the program of your choice.
Activity Donation
Many of our consumers cannot afford many community activities such as concerts, sporting events, and dinner at restaurants. Donations will make it possible for individuals to more enjoy what their community offers. A contribution can be made to a company fund for outings or specifically to a program.
Event Donation
NORS has an annual Picnic, Halloween, and Christmas Party. The events are not only for consumers and their friends and families, but also our employees and their families. Your donation would help cover the expenses of the event. If you are a business we can offer benefits in return for your donation.
